As a first of its kind organization promoting active citizenship, ACT aims at providing the citizens, especially the youth of our state, an organized platform to work together towards a developed and better Maharashtra. Our vision is not only to catalyse the state’s development but also to get the citizens involved in their local communities and democracy at all levels, from villages to towns to cities and consequently to the entire state, percolating throughout India. To achieve this goal, an attempt has been made to establish one of India’s largest Youth Networks that promotes active citizenship through participation in community building and governance with the objective of accelerating the rate of Maharashtra’s growth and development.

The first successful step taken in this direction was ‘Transform Maharashtra’, one of our pioneering initiatives that promoted the participation of the youth in governance and decision making in a unique manner. The initiative, led by the honourable CM Devendra Fadnavis was also graced by the presence of many illustrious dignitaries including the ministers of the Maharashtra State Government, Major General Anuj Mathur, Mr. Ratan Tata and Mr. Akshay Kumar and invited solutions from college students across the state on 11 socio-economic challenges faced by Maharashtra. The competition witnessed around 2300 submissions from more than 11,500 students across 100 cities and towns of the state and was successful in engaging more than 400 college campus ambassadors and 23,000 volunteers witnessing an overall participation of over 6 lac students, with its finale taking place on May 1 last year.
